The Democratic Anomaly in 2020 Regional Head Elections (PILKADA) with a Single Candidate in Semarang City

This research aims to describe the democratic anomaly in election of a single candidate city Semarang and deception background factors victory incumbent City 2020. study uses qualitative descriptive design. The location is City. focus includes capabilities regional head elections sampling techniques used are purposive snowball sampling. Research informants encompass success team pairs people data was collected through interviews, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), documentation study. Data validity tested using triangulation analyzed interactive analysis techniques. results show that many groups have predicted existence 2020 Election. Considering incumbent's achievements while serving as mayor Semarang, accepted natural thing. Some determine incumbent’s victory—first, political capital. ability bring win various awards creates sense satisfaction from public parties for his leadership performance office. Second, ocial Incumbents very popular City, so they high electability. Third, economic benefit more financially, especially when it comes issue campaign costs, gain support their victory.
